This is the first graded nickel I ever bought. This is the only other nickel I bought already graded.
I got a brand new nickel delivered today. It was a bit cold but none worse for ware. I like the light pastel tones on this one. This little jewel sit in a MS 65 OGH Mike
I just got four of these wartime nickel holders and filled one of them up with some circulated coins I have stashed away. It is not a Capital Plastics holder but it is an old one made by some enterprising individual. Looks pretty good to me and would probably look better filled with uncirculated nickels.
I was having a skunky day at work until I opened up a roll of nickels and found not only a 1956-P nickel but also a 1936-P buffalo nickel! This is the second or third buffalo I have pulled out of a roll in the last couple of months. I also found a 1949-D nickel with that beautiful '40s patina. Here's my buffalo, which is in good shape.
Traz, I checked out your type set at PCGS, awesome! Though they are all beautiful coins I especially liked the three 3 cent silver pieces. A great looking type set.
Coin looks pristine in hand, slab is utterly destroyed. What's the matter with some people, it looks like the slab was cleaned with steel wool (hiding it the best I can in the images). Now I need to decide to reholder or not prior to CAC. Still love the coin, hoping to make it into my Type Set.
Impulse buy? An impulse buy for me would be a pack of gum when standing in line at the grocery store.
