    So what caused this anomaly--a discussion for a future posting. P.S. this coin will be one of several I will award to the winner of a future GTG contest.

    PMD. Likely a 'dryer coin'. Got stuck in a clothes dryer and was 'beaten' into having a wider/deeper 'rim'.
