Another question. Do Canada penny collectors put their coins in Canada books etc. reverse showing like mine?
Those early small cents are really neat. I have a few of them and would like to get more. I already have most of the large cents, and they are another great favourite of mine.
Canadian and what I guess could be described as old. Since I'm a type collector, I thought I'd just show off my first ten oldest one-cent types. Canada is one of the few polities that I have 'KM #1'; one of 35, anyway. 1859 - KM 1 1884 - KM 7 (obverse 1 (I think)) 1903 - KM 8 1911 - KM 15 1916 - KM 21 1920 - KM 28 1940 - KM 32 1947 (Maple leaf) - KM 32 1948 - KM 41 1953 - KM 49
Thanks, @KBBPLL! And you are indeed correct! I do not own a 1936 Dot. That, my friend, is very much out of my league; only five (definitely less than ten) known if I remember correctly.
I have 3 1920,4,1921,1 1924, 2,1926,3,1927,and all the others you need.im dealing on a complete set 1920 ,21,22,23,24,25 26,27
1850 Half penny & 1884 1 Cent. Having trouble identifying which version of obverse on the 1884 coin, what do you think is? Is it v.2 or v.3?
Only 20 years old but there's something strange near the collar by the letters. Those look like die breaks
Coins and Canada calls them die grooves, likely similar. They happen a lot on coins from the first couple years of steel.
