Paddy54, just wanted to express my appreciation for your posting of the Nova Scotia pieces; great examples of the die breaks and such on them. Wonderful. Here's one of my favorites: the re-cut F.D. on this 1864 piece
To be honest these have been posted before....but I love these coins! To my liking they are simply eye pleasing . Fell in love with them the first time I held one. Very classic coin that I believe any collector would appreciate.
I must agree 100%. These Canada large cents and also the Hong Kong large cents are such classic and beautiful coins, I seriously collect them both.
"Proof-like" uncirculated 1964 50-cent piece. I can't find many flaws in the surface at all. I don't usually buy uncirculated, but the price on this one seemed reasonable (US$9). Whatever it's worth, I find it a highly attractive coin.
Hello everyone here is a few coin I have Canadian and U S I have much Canadian coin that it will take up a hole page.
I like the 1947 Canadian Nickel. I collect any and all coins (mostly only 1 of each type). I don't have a way to take pictures of my Canadian coins and, anyway, most of them are current years. The coins I have, were collected by my father who travelled a great deal with the military. I have 1 Cent coins: 1867-1967,1968,1978,1980, and 1998. I have 5 Cent coins: 2-1964, 10 Cent coins 1867-1967, 1976, and 1976, and a 1972 25 Cent coin. I don't know what they are worth, but I would like to buy or trade for any 1947 foreign coin. I've got just about every U.S. 1947 coin.
brg5658 .... Always take a very close look at the 1919 reverses. There is gradual machine L-R doubling involving Cent and Canada, starting with the C's ... very nice doubling past the 2nd A in Canada and the E in Cent. Also a very scarce handpunch doubling of the 9's in the date. I must have 300-400 1919's .. just kept them after looking them over carefully. Only found 1 with both the date doubling and the progressive L-R MD in the lettering, but maybe 5-6% with the MD starting at the C's.
