Nice Obv 3. Looks better than XF, but pic not clear.

Another Maritime addition, 1864 New Brunswick Large Cent (tall 6)

 

I just bought one like that on ebay, here is the seller's picture. I see my 6 looks shorter than yours, is that a significant type variety? I have 1 million mintage for the short 6 and no number for the long one. By the way, yours is in beautiful condition, AU or MS?

I did not buy this coin for the grade I bought it for the toning $30.00 + $3 shipping what a great deal. he had it at $35 or best offer on Ebay.

It is a fairly well known variety, I've not seen a separate mintage listing for it though.
Mine is an AU50 & thank you.

 

These Newfoundland cents arrived a few days ago. At the moment, I forget (or just don't know) what the C mintmark stands for.
