I just bought one like that on ebay, here is the seller's picture. I see my 6 looks shorter than yours, is that a significant type variety? I have 1 million mintage for the short 6 and no number for the long one. By the way, yours is in beautiful condition, AU or MS?
I did not buy this coin for the grade I bought it for the toning $30.00 + $3 shipping what a great deal. he had it at $35 or best offer on Ebay.

These Newfoundland cents arrived a few days ago. At the moment, I forget (or just don't know) what the C mintmark stands for.
Newfoundland coins were minted at the Royal Mint in London (no mint mark), the Heaton mint (H) in London and the Royal Canadian Mint (C) in Ottawa at various times.
