A new pickup I've finally imaged (will probably try to get an even closer closeup later today): 1951 10 Cents DDR
Not extremely old, but here are 3 I've found CRHing lately I really like the centennial series, uncluttered yet artistic designs, that was a sweet find
I checked my reference books (Charlton, Krause and Haxby) and none of them make reference to a separate variety (missing dot). Has anyone else been able to corroborate this variety? Any assistance would be appreciated.
It's listed in my Canadian Coins and their Varieties book (http://www.cdn-coins.com/book/eng/details.htm) & in Trends in Canadian Coin News but I can't post pics of either of those as it would be a copyright violation. You can also see it here: http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?coin=1-dollar-1964&years=1-dollar-1953-1986 & listed in this store's catalogue: https://www.jandm.com/script/getitem.asp?CID=3&PID=106
Unless the Dies were made with out the proper amounts of dots. on a 69 d linc. there is a variety called missing designers initials. The FG is missing off of the reverse due to a clogged die. Probably grease.
