Wow yoda, that's some pretty sweet root-beer-colored toning on that classic centennial-sweetheart!! (very cool looking "Bobcat")
It is actually a Lynx - From coinsandcanada.com... quote "To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the confederation, the reverse of the 1 dollar 1967 coin is a lynx." closed quote
ahaha => first of all, your quote is wrong, for it's not the revese of the 1 dollar!! secondly, I found far more items stating that it's a Bobcat, my friend (including this link to the Royal Canadian Mint) http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/learn/25-cents-5300010 ... either way, pretty cool coin (and amazingly cool cat)
hey, paddyman => we actually have Lynx where I live (Northern Manitoba) => ummm, don't leave your lil' spaniel outside if there's a lynx in the neighborhood!! (they're beautiful mid-sized cats, but man => they're scary fightin' machines!!) ... but again, according to the RCM, the cool-coin-cat is a "Bobcat" ... Oh, and thanks for the challenge => I always love a sweet coin challenge! Cheers (both of those cats deserve coins, eh?)
