But I suspect I am not alone! Like I say, something to strive for. The 1898 Canada half dollar saw a mingy mintage of 100,000 pieces, even though that was nearly four times the previous issue, the 1894 at 29,000 coins! This Choice VF piece displays nice original surfaces, a coin that clearly has not been fooled with. Haxby prices this at $670, CCN Trends at $1,030, CoinsandCanada.com also at $1,030.
