Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I like coins my coins ugly because ugly is authentic. Here are mine:


But by others standards I would say it would be this even though it is a round based on a coin:

Yes, Icarus, and yes, a beauty. The aircraft could be a Blériot indeed; here is one again, on a 2012 piece. But it does not even matter that much which aircraft is depicted, as the whole series (6 silver, 6 gold coins) is about achievements of the 20th century which, in 2000 when these were issued, was about to end ...
