@Paul_62 I like your '85 CC....wouldn't hurt to get it graded. My dad got me to like them when I was really young. He still collects them (Morgans/especially CCs) and has a nice GSA '85 CC in NGC 63. When he and I were at a show together (a couple of years ago), a dealer had the most lustrous and smooth OGH '80 CC in 63 that I'd EVER seen. We haggled him down to 450 and then I finally just paid for it and gave it to my dad as a gift. Every time I look at it I simply can't believe that it's only a 63 and it looks awesome in that OGH.

My only Morgan with some fun toning. Always reminded me of a smiley face. A 94o

Looks like a rubber band job, Paper roll. Where is the obverse?

Thanks. Funny you should mention the '80 CC, I have one of those to. Like the other one still in original box with the COA. This one, as near as I can tell, may be a VAM 6, I'm no expert on grading, particularly with varieties. Like yours, the luster on mine pops but doesn't show very well in these photos. I do believe I have two treasures here :)

Very nice. I have an 1882 CC GSA. Original cards and box. It is really baggy but was a gift from my dad, when I was little, so I treasure it. I have an 1881 CC that I bought from a jeweler for 150 bucks! LOL It is ridiculously clean. I know that it would grade at least MS 65. It too has the original cards and box. That same merchant also had an 1880 CC GSA for the same price......I've been kicking my self for 25 years for not buying it. Oh well, You can't have everything! ;)

New acquisition from local coin dealer. Prices roughly triple for MS60 — and knowing lower MS Morgans, this is likely a more attractive coin.

    Wow....huge jump from AU58 to MS60, huh ?

What about if you go from MS60 to MS61, 62, etc. ?

Been a while since I've posted a Morgan and actually a while since purchasing one....This is an un-attributed raw pick from ebay.
