Here the first two Silver Halves US mint made. 1982-S +D George Washington commemorative half dollars . First half dollars if you can get one to grade above a MS-68 you hit the jackpot . As that rather rare. Their a hand full of MS 69 1982-D Modern Commemoratives . I wish I own one in MS69 but 68 all I can afford . <©>
Here's a 2011-P Medal of Honor. It looks much better in hand that the pic does (still learning the photo side of the craft ). It's slabbed as a PF69 Ultra Cameo.
This one was minted as a set (tho these are not a matched set) to honor Leif Ericson. The US coin is a NGC MS70. Only 28,100 of the US coin were minted. I can only find limited information about the Icelandic version that says they were only minted in proofs and the maximum mintage was 150,000. I'm tempted to get the Icelandic coin graded and would love to find some OGP for the two of them.
Great set I still have sealed. but here the forgotten coin from 2009-S+P Louis Braille mintage on both PR+MS are very low.
Thanks. A lot of folks don't like the laser etching and neither did I at first, but the dramatic contrast that is achieved by the process grows on you. Well, at least it did for me.........
