Again, I searched, but no specific thread. Any love token collectors, post 'em here. One of my favorites: [Love those Busties!]
This is the only one that I have at home. I bought it as a gift for our friend Charmy for helping me with a proof IHC set, (even though they're not her initials, it reminded me of her) but forgot it at home when I went to the show. I'm sure that I'll see her again, so I'll bring it to her then.
Here is a Gold Liberty type 1 $1 coin I picked up while back that has my initials on it A L B couldn't hardly pass that up when seen had my initials! Sorry my iphone pics prob don't show details great!
For those who gave up: THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF TEMPERANCE. here is: "Love, Purity, & Fidelity. Grand, National, Temperance Banner" by N. Currier http://www.corbisimages.com/stock-p...ity-fidelity-grand-national-temperance-banner
Here are my favorite 5. I have many more. I know the pictures are bad and sorry for the glare but I didn't want to take them out of their 2x2: "MISS SUSANNA WOOD AT NEW HOUSE AUGUST 29 1780" Obverse: "May our toe hearts unite together and live in united love forever" Reverse: "True Love" in two hearts Obverse: EP and fox Reverse: EG and two hearts 1790 "Henry Mitchell born Nov 18th 1752" with bird "MDME A. BERNIER 11 MAY 1906" Hope you enjoy!
I'm trying to help a family sell this amazing piece. I'm hoping no one ever offers what it's worth so they can keep it instead. It has an amazing provenance that you can read about here: http://www.winsociety.org/newsletter/vol-7/A-Tale-of-Love-Tokens.html
You have the family that it belonged to? Cmon you cant sell it. Thats so cool they can trace it back.
