What a beauty, Robec! At first glance, I was thinking MS66, but then saw the little rim ding on the obverse at 1 oclock. Is that also a rim disturbance at 9 oclock on the obverse? Regardless, one of the prettier coins out there .

There is no rim ding at 1 or 9. I think what you are seeing is the prong in each of those locations. I used my loupe for each area and there is no disturbance in either place.

I need this coin in PCGS plastic for my registry set. But, I lack self-control and focus, when these ANACS soap slabs catch my eye. My camera wouldn't show the love for this coin. Slab shots was all it would give up.

Hi I’m new to the site, although I’ve been interested and reading posts for years, I only started searching my stash recently(Thanks Covid!)So anyway, I just found this in my change. Looks like new. Wonder if anyone is looking for one for their collection. Have any of you any ideas if it may be fake or not? Thanks in advance!

1985 is a tough year for collectors, the mint was good at making bubbles. I searched tens of thousands of coins to find my 1985.

I have some real good 1985 Lincoln's. I'll post better photos tonight.

Very nice, almost bubble free? Where's the reverse?

I remember when I was looking for one of these it never failed...no bubbles some times but the strike would be weak, especially in the hair and bottom of the bust. Or I'd flip it and it'd be horrible on the other side. I bought and cracked many OBW, solid date rolls looking for the magic coin. One of my most amazing roll search finds:

I found this in an old Library of Coins album for $9.99 a few years back. Most of the coins were junk but this looked decent in the crappy photo's. With the exception of a few dings on the cheek its relatively problem free and might get sent it.

    A real rainbow?
I wasn’t going to post a 1985 at first, but then I saw a couple of interesting (to me) things with the reverse. It looks like another coin was laying on this one while the reverse was reacting with something. (That pattern of waffled dots at 3:00 seems familiar - was this part of a mint set?)

As the animation moves, you can see an arc that separates the shiny part from the cloudy part. This is at the 7:00 position. It reaches from the E in ONE to the N IN UNITED. And if you watch as the animation reaches one end of its repetition, an actual rainbow arc will appear there.
