I have been upgrading a few early Lincolns, and this just arrived. It is raw, of course. I am surprised that the seller didn't grade it, but waffled between 64 / 65 RB or RD. On NGC's price guide (1921 S 1C MS) MS64 RB is $725, while MS65 RD is $12,700. (None exist above MS65.) It really seems a seller would want to be sure exactly where in that range the real price should be. Not only that, it was a Make Offer, so I chopped 10% from the price and it was immediately accepted. This was an expensive coin for me, but still a significant fraction below the 64 RB guide price. I am a fan of a strong strike, good luster, and lots of natural color, so this is a good fit for my tastes.
