I'm not the best guy to answer your question on the grade. If ya look at Lincoln's face he has picked up a few blemishes, cheek bone mainly. I think it looks a bit better than the grade assigned. It's the eye appeal I'm after as I just love the color on this one.

Bob your 38 proof is just AMAZING!!!! Thanks for sharing.....Joe

Fantastic close-up Coindexter/Joe. I guess it's seems plausible that PCGS penalized your coin for surface blemishes/scratches, though it's hard to tell if it's on the slab or the coin. I wish I knew more about differentiating a PR62, 63, 64, 65, 66 -- it all seems a bit arbitrary to me! One day I hope to learn more about that!

In any case, the color is a 66 !!

Thank you for the kind words.
Bob will be receiving this coin shortly so maybe he can shead some light on the grade, he's the Lincoln expert. I just buy color LOL...It's a sickness....

Now I've seen strikes just like the one your showing here....It's when the die is swirlling about and finally leaving it's holder and bouncing about the shop putting everyone in harms way. I hate it when that happens....

Wow there are some mighty fine cents on this thread. I'll have to photograph some of mine!

I just received this nicely toned 1964-D in the mail today. It is the result of a trade made with JCB1983. Thank you Jason. This is my only non proof toned Lincoln. I think the obverse has some pretty cool colors. The iridescent green above the head is a little stronger than the images show as is the luster.

Wow those turned out nice. When I learn to produce such pictures, I will post the awesome half moon toned cent.

The colors on that remind me of red and green apples, in a great way of course

Little bit of a weak strike, but I like the wood grain effect on it.

You can see evidence of a die clash on the bottom of the C in Cent

I just posted this in the new aquisitions thread, but thought I would toss it up in this Lincolns thread also. I just bought this from former CoinTalk member Lehigh96. CT member Phdunay inspired a great name for this one: "Fire and Ice" ... like molten lava from an erupting volcano next to a glacier (I think that kind of crazy geological stuff happens in Iceland)

Beautiful bright gold lincoln that I can't seem to image to shave my life.

First one was colorshopped, last two taken with a USB microscope that doesn't care for color all that much, LOL. I'll see if I can get a friend to foto it for me(professional fotograffer)
