WOW - Nice find! Finding one toned that well is rare - I know that you know if you search a lot! I would like to see that. Sounds like a brilliant idea to me. I'm going to work on that for modern Lincolns. Such a set for 1959 up would be unique among the millions of full red sets.
I thought the S mint mark looked cluttered. It looks like a chip broke out of the die. I'm afraid this is not some highly sought-after overpunched date!
Great project! I toyed years ago with the idea of putting together a full brown set of Memorial cents. I like mint state coins which creates a TOUGH problem, finding many modern cents in MS BN is next to impossible!
These were common when I was a young teenager going through $50 bags of cents. But then, that was only 20 years after they were minted. The S mint has bright die scratches that disappear under the N in CENT. Oops, I almost forgot this one. The assistant at the LCS pried this off the side of a steel filing cabinet, and tossed it in with my purchase for free. Not only is it copper-plated steel, but magnetized to boot.
Pulled one of my binder sheets from the bank today....getting back to some "re-imaging". I forgot how much luster this one had...tons!
This toner has almost no copper color left, it's a silverish-gold looking coin in hand with loads of cartwheel and frosty surfaces.
Got this coin from ArizonaJack back in the day, it's one of my favorites. It's a dark toner with super, cartwheel luster:
I know for a fact there are other 1910's out there, even if you seem to have every single one of them!
