Robec actually photographed that PR68BN before PCGS graded it. I cut this out of an intact cello proof set. Robec did a great job capturing multiple looks. The gloss on that one is outrageous.
That's incredible looking as are the pictures! Even cooler that you found it in an original mint cello. Congrats on the find and the grade!
Here's another pictures with the T in LIBERTY. If the T was stoping you from believing my cent was SMS. Here it is. If u can find a nickel from 1964 struck as good as my coin, I'll believe when u say it isn't a SMS.
Here's some of my favorites. These are all proofs, the 62 is a cameo. The scratches in the picture are from the plastic holders they are in.
What gets me, is the thought that at one point, this coin would of been handed out to a customer at the bank. They probably wouldn't of noticed anything about it, spent it or worse, damaged it. I like the idea of there being collectors. We preserve these coins that most individuals would simply just toss away without a second thought. It brings a smile to my face knowing that it's in a better place to be cared for, the way it should be.
