    Excellent book !! This one is gonna be one of the standard referrences. I recommend all 3 volumes of the series, the 3rd was just released.

    it was a steal! it's on sale at david brown books / oxbow (MODS -- am i allowed to say that? if not, my apologies). i got it for $15! they also have two of the british volumes, manchester and society of antiquaries newcastle, on sale for a similar price. their remainders are pretty amazing, for ancient coins, and for ancient history in general.
