I bought it on eBay for an exorbitant price. What can I say, I wanted it. It broke a record for me for the biggest toning premium I've ever paid on a coin (50x, yikes). Guide price on a common "white" 1966 SP66 is $20 and I paid $999. Nutty yes, but probably not as buried in it as you might think -- as I bet I could get most or all of my money out to another nutty collector of toners. This kind of material makes me go ga-ga, but I'm weird I admit it. I definitely collect what I love and don't really care what others think and don't worry that much about big toning premiums if I can afford it.

Honestly looking at close up images of this coin, I think it could grade SP67 or SP67+ if I sent it back in for reconsideration. If I could get an SP67+ grade on it, the toning premium drops to only 12x (which seems more reasonable in terms of a multiplier).

Also, I meant to give a shout out to Robec, who birddogged this coin for me. Check out the blue elevation chromatics in Kennedy's hair (wow). And I love the colorful orange/raspberry flow lines around the rim (double wow). I think it might be one of the most beautiful PCGS-graded colorfully-toned Kennedy Half Dollars I've ever seen.
