Thank you Larry !!!!!! I am sure a few folks will be checking out this half graded or in their proof sets.
I have almost no experience with doubled dies like this, so I'm not sure what I should be seeing in your picture. I know it's the stars that are doubled but they look normal to me. Attached are some of my attempts at taking pictures through my loupe. I don't know if they'll be any help, but if you see something let me know.
Scotts1, From your pictures, I would say it is not either the DDR-001 or DDR-002. In the set linked below, are some pictures of a few different doubled dies. You will notice that the quality of the photos are far from what Mr. Nienaber can produce. http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/showcase.aspx?sc=1165 If you click on the thumbnail, a larger picture should show. Happy hunting, Caleb
There doesn't seem to be a picture of the 1994-S DDR-001 on that link; maybe it's just because I'm not signed up for CoinFacts or they just don't have one posted. Either way, it doesn't sound like mine is a doubled die. I still think I did okay at $15 though. There was certainly nothing wrong with Mr. Nienaber's picture, I just have almost no experience with recognizing doubled dies. Thank you both for your help!
Larry I knew we have a few photos to ck out . My eyes are get to old to pick out D/Dies unless there like the 1955 wheat cent double die.
Larry I hear ya well. Scott1 Is this your set? http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/MemberImageGallery.aspx?m=5046&Page=2
Ok! It's a nice set . My set of all my Pcgs were called Amac Dimes-Dollars but I am no longer a member .
Lately it's been raining toned Kennedy albums in my neck of the woods. My toned clad Kennedy collection doubled. Here are some recent favorites.
Here two 1964 Proof. Claims to be top of population ,but both are ebay coins. @ 4495.99ea bit high priced. Both are nice but price wise I am sure being the 50th Av pumped the prices .
President Kennedy wanted US to go to the moon, it looks likes there are a few people still trying to reach for it!
