A replate, but still very cool. The price was right (50 cents) and it's a keeper. The eagle on the reverse is plated in a gold color.
I just noticed this PCGS special: Submit three (3) or more Kennedy Half Dollars and get one (1) graded for FREE!! http://www.pcgs.com/ccspecial/
Tight wads. PCGS has turned into a bunch of tight wads! 6 years ago, this would have been Submit ANY Kenedy Half Dollar for a free grading AND you wouldn't have to pay that stupid $8.00 handling charge! Just the return shipping. In other words, it was a REAL SPECIAL!
I am submitting another bunch of Kennedys and Sacs. After the success with Greg's two incredible proofs, NGC is getting some more toners. Be ready for a show, Greg--the coins you sold me will look lovely in the White NGC plastic.
Pcgs Kennedy label sets . Has anyone seen the prices?? Just wondering . I know there selling big time or so that if what magazine have been sayin
Mike Mezak on HSN just said the US Mint's going to do a Reverse Proof Kennedy Half, Another Satin Finish, and an enhanced UNC Kennedy Half dollar for the 50th anniversary. How reliable do you think his information is?
Not sure, but I'd imagine news will be leaking fairly soon about the game plan, with the set coming much later in the year. Maybe this is the start of the leaks. While I'm here, some retake pics:
1971-D Kennedy DDO FS-102 MS66 PCGS It's been a while since I posted a Kennedy half here ... getting hard to find reasonable upgrades for my set. This one was a two-point upgrade. Seller's photos, used with their permission. Enjoy! Best Regards, George
1st George DDO Wow thanks for letting us view that Gemmy MS66 DDO 2nd MD Both Ngc+Pcgs has come up with Kennedy Labels and yes that is 1st one I think I seen first.
2009 Xmas was the 1st 2008-S Pcgs Silver Proof was first one I gotten as a present from a buddy in Florida .Brain Fart on my part as Ngc is 95% of my graded Kennedy's . I need to keep my coin log handy.my attention span getting shorter . :-( I hate it too so bare with this old asset .
I bought some BU rolls of Kennedys. I was very pleased when i opened the 79 D's. All toned with some being nicer than others. The 74 D roll sure was gemmy, although just some light gold toning here and there.
Double check that roll of 74-Ds, the DDO-001 is known for being in both Mint Sets and rolls for circulation.
