Yeah, me either. Picked up five rolls for bank, CWRs, all marked as searched. Bummed at first, but then I have found lots of 40s in "already searched rolls" from banks. Must have fooled someone since it was not a pre-70 half.
Nor the BU 55 Franklin. That's what I'm thinking. He must have posted this in the wrong forum on accident then. Unless he found those as part of a collection dump.
Found this 1969S yesterday in a teller's tray. Kind of sad that it went through circulation. Has some minor surface scratches
FWIW, I found a MS-65 Walker in a circulation roll in the early-90s, so stranger things have happened.
I found a Mint State 1946 Dime earlier this year, so indeed this kind of thing does happen sometimes.
I've seen "chocolate" toned halfs before and always just dump them but I think I may start collecting them. Found this 1973P, the Toning is actually pretty even though it may be artificial. What's everyone else think?
my best find was 2 40% in a lot of 120 half dollars. I knew immediately they weren't clad because they had a weird greenish tone. I'm not sure where they are now so I don't have pictures.
