Thanks! They are SMS halves that I removed from sets I purchased online. They have special meaning for me because JT signed the inserts at the FUN Show when he was acting as interim president of PCI. R.I.P. my friend! ~ Chris

Geez, I'm going to have to take another look at mine... Side note - how many sets did you go through to find them, or were they advertised as having the ddo? Thanks chris!

I bought five each of the 1966 & 1967 sets about 16 years ago. They were not advertised as DDO's. ~ Chris

Huge score. Sorry about your friend, and glad he signed your holders. Bittersweet bounty!

I still have the quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies in the SMS cases. Don't ask me why I saved them that way. ~ Chris:confused::wacky::rolleyes:

That's where I've got most of mine;) I've broken open a few to put into my Dansco albums, and of course have doubles still in their original holders (that I like very much, along with the cardboard mint sets and cardboard box proof sets). i'll go check my 66s now;)

At one time I had 9 different 1972 DDO. That was fun hunting them down.
I sold off 2 thru 9 and only have the die 1 now. 1972 DDO Dies 1-9.jpg

How about the "Grand Daddy" of Jefferson Nickel doubled dies, the 1939 DDR Doubled Monticello.
