Lehigh, absolutely beautiful coins. Love those three. The '54 has the most subtle toning!!

Don't have a '56 yet. That will have to wait till next month. :)

Actually want the 1950 proof first. A very low mintage coin, and fairly readily available.

The 67* pretty much blows me away.

Bunch of beautiful Frankies here. I have to admit, I have been slacking in my posting and reading of Cointalk as well as buying for the collection. I'm in the process of buying a house and that is a NEVER ending process, but I'll see what I can scrounge together to post on this thread tomorrow. Meanwhile, gentlemen, get those drool rags out and prepare to be hyptnotized by my blast white Frankies!

This will always be my favorite Franklin. Probably the finest known type of error for the date. One day working at my buddies coin shop, another worker brought in a a group of miss-matched coins to put in the melt batch. I realized the coin was special right away and had to convince him and the shop owner that it should come out of the bulk 90%. We sold it last year at Stacks Bowers Aug auction for 5750.00 and a nice three way split. Prob one of the coolest things to happen to me in the hobby so far.

My precious! (Yes, I do crouch in a corner and gently stroke the edge of the 2X2 repeating that phrase slowly, deeply, and repetitively)

Here's my latest. Waited a while to find one like this, with great luster, well-struck and some nice toning. I think it is a bit under graded--could easily be a 66 or 66+, but love it just the same in the OGH. A friend told me about it on David Lawrence, auctions, and I grabbed it up, while on sale. Nice semi-rarity, as you know--only 51,386 minted.
