Post some coins that you've poached out of circulation. Could be of actual value or just personal value... Here are a few I've found over the years, including my first war nickel find from yesterday

I wish I could find Peace Dollars in circulation!

    Cool idea for a thread... the V is an 1887 BTW. All except the 50-D nickel (which I found in the mid-1980s) have been found over the past 6 months. 50dnickel.jpg 39dnickel.jpg 1887nickel.jpg 18dobv.jpg 1889indian.jpg 43shalf.jpg 87d.jpg 76cudnickel.jpg 1950-6pence.jpg

Did it just show up in your change?

No, I spotted the 27s peace dollar, a 1942 walker half, and 54d and 58d franklin halves in a teller tray. Bought them for face value! Apparently they were hand me downs from a recently deceased father, and his daughter brought them into the bank for face value because she didn't want to deal with the 'hassle' of taking them to a dealer

This I pulled recently from a box of nickels, the only box I've gotten in several years. Finds like this make me wish I had more time for roll searching. A 1935 Buffalo nickel, doubled die reverse (FS#5c-18, Breen 2644).
