The original host of the Chekiang 10 cash coin can be identified if there is better closeup photo. I'm suspecting it's 1898 5 fun which is the most common of this type.

Another example of mine

This is a wild example of Chekiang muled with Hupeh die with an coin alignment (not medal) which is an impossible combination. While the original host coin 1895 5 fun coin was used, this becomes a question of who issued this coin or even the origin of this. While some scholars reckon that this particular type of coinage is contemporary counterfeit (some are), some match genuine examples but this does not make much sense. I believe an author once thought that some Japanese took the scrapped 5 fun coins and struck the coins themselves. I personally believe the mints at that time were involved in corruption and would do anything to make money for themselves. I guess we can leave that to another topic.

On the same topic of overstruck coins, there is also another well known type, however much harder to find. Uighurstan (Uyghurstan / East Turkestan) 1933 20 cash overstruck over Xinjiang 10 cash. This was an attempt to create an Islamic state which was oppressed in less than one year. Obviously this is not a coin that survived too well as it would not have gone well with the Communist party.
