I usually don't acquire circulated versions of Daniel's work, but when I do they are always low mintage. This one has a final mintage of only 3! Enjoy, TC
Here is a 1920 Peace Broken Sword circulated version with a nice bluish color tone (mintage = 20 so far). TC
I am not sure if I have posted these before. When I got them years ago they were untoned. I put them in some paper holders and just found them. Did Dan do any other designs, a half? Has anyone talked to @Cascade lately? @dcarr
He also did a Walking Liberty half dollar as well. They toned nicely. What “paper holders” did you use? Thanks, TC
Top photo shows my 1st attempt at coloring. It was ok but I wanted better results so I made it very dark. Then I put some baking soda on my finger and lightly rubbed the surfaces. The baking soda removed some of the dark tone from the high points and flat fields. I like it better now, bottom photo.
After missing out on these in 2013 and looking for one the last two years I finally snagged this one yesterday. I've always liked the Obverse but the Reverse is what I was after. I guess it's called the Exchange Currency Reverse?? It graded MS69 by ANACS......the hunt is over...
I just finished my 1942 Proof set, I've always wanted one with the mercury dime and Walker. I just wish they were still making the Buffalo nickel that year.....and yes a type 1 and 2 Hmmmm a hint for @dcarr
Heck, offer me a proof set with well-made IHC, Buffalo, Merc, SLQ, and Walker, and you can put any date you like on it.
1792 Chain Cent Silver Center Over-Struck on a Large Cent with a Cracked Edge, ANACS AU55. You can see the host coin on both sides, Stars on the Obverse and Wreath on Reverse. Very unique piece, first one I've ever seen like it.
