I haven't seen one of these posted, so here she be. It has a pretty low mintage for one of Dan's American Silver Eagles.

I was looking to see the mintage of the "1792" chain tokens.
    I's not listed on the Over-Struck Fantasy-Date Over-Struck Coins
try the "Commemorative Tokens" that's where you'll find the mintage.
Just thought you might like to know

    Nice pieces D.

Dan had lots of new stuff listed as y'all know. I would imagine there will be lots of photos of the new medals, tokens and O/S pieces in the next few weeks.

Can't wait to see them all especially the o/s pieces...:woot:

This is the 50mm KotCT 3oz. Silver medal. This shows different views of the hologram with the lighting set at different positions.

Do @dcarr's hologram medals bear the hologram as an applied film, or is it embossed into the coin's surface, or is it photographically imprinted? I think there are such things as embossed plastic holograms, but I can't imagine detail that fine (sub-micron) holding up on a die that's striking metal...

  15. Most of the copper with silver plug versions were produced for and handled by a distributor in 2019. I vaguely remember seeing the mintage last year for those and I think it was well over 200. So even though the mintage seems high at 288, only a very few were produced in 2020. I am sort of hoping that there may be some way to distinguish between the two production runs. Maybe on the certificate if not on the token? TC

I remember CascadeChris had one of the copper/silver plug cents last year.
He posted a photo on CU on Oct.7, not sure where he got it.
Here is the photo he posted.

I think Dan said they were in the coins surface.

  18. I saw the peace dollar with the ike eagle reverse and I was wondering what if the peace dollar was still around in 1976, what kind of bicentennial design would it have? Is that something in the works at the moonlight mint?

Thanks TC, I'm sending it and some others to ANACS Tuesday morning. It's the best Morgan I've ever owned. Should have the grades in about a month and we'll see if we're correct.
