It would have been cool to know what the donor was in this case....

I must admit I did try.
They look awesome D.
I've been out of the loop for awhile. What happened to the broken sword reverses ?
1931 is a fantasy date -- no Peace dollars were produced by the US Mint. So it has the usual Peace dollar reverse, not broken sword.
Dan's "Broken Sword" series continued earlier this year with a 1919 date.
Thanks. I should have known this. I did pick up a couple of the first ones. (broken sword) 1PF, and 1hg if I remember correctly. I haven't even looked at those in awhile. Soon to be rectified.
The correct cert. arrived today

Oh, and the Peace dollar.
Now you're monkeying with me.
This package just arrived from Moonlight Mint. I did not know that Dan was a philatelist.
They’re beautifully done, and I was shocked when I later saw what they’ve sold for on eBay and the like. I keep them with other medals that I have.
I don't know if he's a philatelist, but he strikes me as the type who wouldn't turn up his nose at the opportunity to buy discount postage. (Old common stamps sell for well below face value.)
