Yup, the sample strike was kinda Matte proofy and the dies need to develop "bloom".

 

Oh no the Moonlight Mint site is down for maintenance. Time to get reacquainted with family and friends.

 

2017 Antiqued Owl, Mintage = 13.

 

You could see the OWL a little easier on previous releases.

 

I was very lucky to be able to acquire these pieces. The Owl speaks for itself and the 2018 WW1 Commemorative Dollar O/S on a Peace Dollar is pretty cool, has a new Eagle I've never seen on any of Dan's pieces. Maybe if Dan has time he could tell us about this piece. I'm not totally sure about all the facts but I think he entered it in a U.S. Mint contest for next years design.

I am now broke, will work for DC medals.

I was fortunate that I got to spend last weekend at the Moonlight Mint getting a first hand tour of Dan's mint. It is spectacular. Everything he does is special....of course I am partially biased, but for a one man show, he does a phenomenal job on the products he creates. Plus you get to see things like this.....

All items are top quality. I was very impressed with the Solar Medals. The Merlin's are top notch and the 1917's are beautiful. I got the older gold at a decent price with mintages of 47 and 150, love Indian gold.

 

Not my listing. Is this really a Carr creation? Can't find it on his site.
