By my count all the 1964 versions are at a total of 1,579. That would mean only 385 more will be made if the grand total is 1,964.

 

That would be the max allowed. Die pair 1 isn't even on the sight anymore so I am assuming those are done. I suspect the final mintage will end up being less than what he said his max will be

Just thinking, does Dan strike some PL then produce the clashed die one's, or repair the broken dies only to clash them again ?

 

I would assume once the die is clashed that's the end of it's life for the normal ones

 

It's pretty simple. Once you're done striking the originals, Clash the dies hard as hell without a planchet in between them and then strike some clashed coins. Notice how he kept the prices the same for each type. No extra time or effort aside from pushing a button a couple of times went into creating the clashed dies.
