1856 proof flying eagle cent, holed, and countermarked, NGC holder. This one's not mine, but I found it interesting for such a scarce coin. Up for online auction right now (auction closes on Sunday, Aug 8, with $650.00 high bid thus far, if you're interested). I have no affiliation or financial interest in its sale, fyi.
Looks like it might either be a love token or to commemorate the birth of a child named May. That's a nice coin too, Lawtoad. Bruce
I should have a couple more arriving in the mail today, not signature coins, but counterstamped. Here is another recent arrival. Z
"Looks like it might either be a love token or to commemorate the birth of a child named May. That's a nice coin too, Lawtoad. Bruce" It is a nice coin. It is the Large Letters variety of 1831, which is a little bit scarcer. Also the condition of the coin (about F12 I think) is nice, save for the counter stamp and the big holed drilled in it. I got it extremely cheap because of the counter stamp and hole, but I like the coin. It is nice to have a classic coin like this that someone added a personal significance to and then like wore as jewelry.
