I have found numerous US silver and clad as well as foreign coins and tokens in my Coinstar searches over the years. About 2 years ago in our local Fry's Supermarket and I religiously checked the Coinstar coin return and found it to be full. It was so full that the throat of the coin return was completely filled. I'm standing there reaching down and taking handful after handful of coins out and stuffing them into my pockets. As I took out a handful from the little coin return bucket, it filled up again as more coins dropped. I thought someone was going to notice and ask me what I was doing. haha I left the store with my shorts' pockets bulging out, full of coins. I was almost embarrassed (almost). I got home and started to unload my find on the kitchen table turn out that it was $9.75 in nickels and a few out zincolns. I wish it would have been silver halves and dimes but it was fun to find that many coins. Obviously the machine had malfunctioned.
I tell you I think its funny when I also find a good chunk of coins cause I get the same way. Lol I start thinking now everybody is looking at me but its always fun....congrats on your finds...Happy Hunting
