A rare mint for this issue and struck shortly before the mint closed for good.</p><p>[ATTACH=full]1540521[/ATTACH]</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>A late Soho mule pattern halfpenny with a 1797 obverse and 1795 reverse die pair. Peck 1046 refers. Examination of the rust spots indicates that this type (KH5) was struck prior to type KH4. This is an extremely rare coin, with no examples coming to market in the UK in over 50 years - the last being in the Spink Circular in 1968.
