Here are a few of my favorites (that I still own.) I got the first two, believe it or not, in a swimming pool display in the window of a coin shop (one of those deals I wish would happen again and again...) The second two I got at an antique mall in a bag for $10. 1905 R 1 Lire 1874 M BN 5 Lire 1927 R 10 Lire *FERT* NGC AU53 1928 R 10 Lire **FERT** NGC XF45
I am keeping an eye out for one of the 500 Lire varieties where the flags on the ships are going in the wrong direction...can't remember exactly which year it is at the moment, though.
The "regular" coins are dated 1958 and later. What you mean is the "prova" issue dated 1957 (see here for example), but that is quite rare and expensive ... Christian
i have a few but neglected to take pictures of them, here's the only one i have a pic of...and it's not a good pic.
NGC slabbed San Marino, Italy 1986 gold 2 Scudos, spider 1 of my favorite "coins with insects". 1 because it's a spider and 2 because it is gold.
I have many more "coins with hands" from San Marino Italy to post but that will happen after I get home from work tonight. I also collect the Italy 10 centesimi copper "bee" coins date run from 1919-1939...still looking for a better grade 1919... man do those get pricey.
when I first bought it off Ebay I could NOT stop looking at the heads side. that gold, orange and blue together are breath taking. I could not believe they only wanted $40.00 bucks for it.
I think Italy is going to be my next collecting target. I love the designs of the silver and copper from the earty 1900's. But I need to finish my, French, Australian, Philippine and British sets first, LOL.
@49ers here are more of my San Marino and Vatican City "coins with hands" coins. easier to post this thread than to redo the pics. thread link: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/coins-with-hands.223485/
