Post your Christmas coin wishlist here. The coin can be anything minted in the USA from 1793-2011. My wishlist is as follows: American Eagles, Silver Quarters, Dimes, Halves etc. Or a crisp $20 to save for key dates I need(1916-D Merc, 1932 D&S Washington Quarters) :thumb:
Uncirculated Mercs and mid grade Barbers. A 1995 Silver eagle proof or unc. I would also like to complete my type set including a half dime, 20 cent piece (I can only dream) and 3 cent silver and 3 cent nickel. I guess I will go to my local coin show in march and see what I can get with my Christmas money. And something old and slabbed. Preferably SLQs or Mercury dimes
I realize this wasn't minted in the US, but the top of my Christmas list is the new Australian $1,000,000 gold coin, made from 1 metric ton (1,000 kg) of gold (http://www.perthmint.com.au/1-tonne-gold-coin.aspx). I promise if I get that, I won't ask for anything else.
I would probaly have to go with a 1957 proof set,1921 mercury dimes, bust half dollar, and a stone mountain half dollar. And one more thing that I would be happy with just getting, a scale to weigh coins. If I got a scale thats all I would need for Christmas. But as long as I'm with my family I'm happy.
Just a Glenna Goodacre sacagawea, 2006 reverse proof eagle, and some coin tubes. And air-tites. I have been into rocks and minerals lately, and I think I'll buy myself a Dremel with all the bits (so I can better poke at my finds) and put it under the tree. I already have some pretty agate candidates from our last road trip and I'd love to play with them a little.
I'd like to find a couple of nice DMPL Morgans... Maybe some Capped Bust halves. Also, if you're interested, gecko , I've got a '32-D for sale/trade. Need photos? PM me. -Brian
I'm still hopeful for the metal detector!!!! And the 2011 Silver Eagle..l And a non coin medal, from the late 50's, which I have no idea where to begin my search. And even though not a U.S. coin, I'd like the Canadian Canoe coin, either the new one (sold out) or the old one (from the 50's?) Aw heck; a proof shield cent! Does Santa review these lists??

It's not a coin, but it directly coin related; It's a Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Di SP A/M 1:1 Macro Lens... apparently, haha. No clue what all of that means, but it's supposed to be a pretty good macro lens... anybody here have any experience with it in regards to coins? Oh, and I could go for a nice '16-S 64FB Merc dime.
Some high aspirations! I remember the first time I held an 1877 IHC, Just a couple months ago, for a VG-8 piece, I sensed the real beauty in it.
for christmas I wish for world peace, (oh wait this is not a beauty pageant ) I'd take a draped bust $1 , I just bought a draped 1/2 $ now i need the $1
