Well done bogo--other than the whole wrong date thing. That one looks like it would have easily fooled many a merchant.

    Here's another that easily passed.

    Nice one, cataloged in Davignon?

Yes, but I'm (at least theoretically) at work and don't have access to my notes.

Very cool. I don't currently own a copy of that catalog, but always loved the contemporary stuff. Too bad it is under-appreciated by many. Even the more common types are much harder to find than a genuine example in equivalent grade, but usually have lower demand and prices.

Looks like Davignon Obv 3, Rev E.

Yep, the most common of them all. I gave it to the person that attributed it for me as a token of my appreciation, as I originally thought it to be a modern piece rather than contemporary when I got it in 2011.

I can see why it would be among your favorites. Very nice.

Was going through my collection for the first time in like 2 years today, turns out I had 2 bust halves in there (out of my total maybe 15 US coins). Both look like overdates, but I don't know about the varieties on these beyond what Redbook has.

Yes, both of your coins are overdates...the 1812/1 small 8, and the 1829/7.

Just picked up 3 Bust halves at the local show, so I figured I'd see if we couldn't get this thread going again.

    First, 1832 O-113a

I am going to re-grade. I don't believe it was cleaned.
