Anyway, when I do find a dealer that either has barber halves on display in that range or is willing to look in his/her inventory - the prices for virtually the same coin seem to be all over the place. </p><p><br /></p><p>As a rookie - I was curious if you guys have found that this series sells for more than XX reference (gray sheet, red book, blue book etc). I&#039;ve been given prices for the same date raw coin in F, that are all over the map. For instance, I was with my son and we were trying to find a F-VF 1907-S. We found 3 of them in our search, all at different shops. Two were honest F and one was VG and the prices we were given ranged from $85-130. Being new to the game - but having read a few books, plenty of websites and never ending posts - I&#039;m still at a loss for what to expect when I hit the shops around me. </p><p><br /></p><p>Any insight besides getting to know them - keep buying etc.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
