  7. BKo, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think you are doing that coin the justice it deserves with that photo. It looks to have vibrant colors, but just seems muted by the picture. My apologies if I have offended.

    1914-D. This is my best Barber dime. I have some Barber quarters and half dollars, but they are nearly slick.

    Sometimes it is difficult to find good, meaty barbers so when I do I tend to snap them up. There was a big show in Altoona, IA, this weekend which meant that only the smaller dealers showed at the monthly show in my area. One of the dealers had a couple of rows of assorted barber quarters and halves. I picked through it and there were many, many between F and XF. I bought as many as I could, focusing on coins that weren't already in my collection or better date material. I really hope that he shows up next month.

    This coin is going to PCGS. It may not get a problem-free grade, but it's freaking gorgeous anyway. cats.jpg
