I am not saying I agree with your estimation or I disagree with it. I just ordered the coin from
a dealer-friend. Its actually in a PCGS 30 holder. Its an upgrade for my PCGS 15. [ whose image
    is among the missing...]

Get to know a few dealers who specialize in Barbers. I am on a list with one who notifys me when his submission to PCGS has arrived and gives me first pick of what he just got back. He'll shoot images for me of any in the submission and I get to pick and choose which I can use and which I don't want to bother with. We discuss pricing structures as well and if he's too high, I tell him to adjust his pricing. When he's too low, I tell him the same thing. He knows he can trust my judgement - and sometimes that works out for other Barber Half collectors - sometimes, they think the prices are going thru the roof. I hate to say this, but this time next year, todays high prices will seem like bargains. There is a lot of conversation going around that Barber Half prices for solid for the grade coins are going to go thru the roof.

I'll put it in a personal perspective, I bought a nice 1900-S Half a year and a half ago in a PCGS 58 holder from a good friend. He paid $475 for it a few months before. I paid him his ask price of $550. I sold the coin last August at the Heritage ANA Pre Show auction for $650 [ plus the juice ]. It sold to a collector - who in turn made a profit and it reached another dealers eBay auction last week; this coin sold for $1850.

Hold on to your hats, Boys and Girls, its gonna be a bumpy ride.

Justin / LogPotato already knows this but I 'll share this with the forum,
Arnie Heller, Darrell Kreis and myself will be set up together at the upcoming
Baltimore show. If you can't find what you're looking for in Barber Halves at
our table, you won't find them. The table is under Darrell's name.
Once I know the number, I'll post it.

As tough a date as the 01-O is, I was offered another one in a PCGS 25 holder this afternoon.
I had to turn it down, because I just this week got the PCGS 30 I just posted. When an XF shows
Up , I asked he call me.

Remember to speak loud to Arnie. He only lives about 15 miles from me.

    CJ,

Don't feel intimidated by other's images - as a Barber Lover, I like all grades
except of damaged coins [ as I get ill at the sight of any Barber mistreated.]

We'd all like to see your newp, I bet it's a special coin. Please share it with us !

    Ok, Gents,

Our table is under AmeriWorld [ Darrell's company ] and we are at Table 310.

Please stop by. We'll have a huge assortment of Barber Halves - as well as a few Dimes and Quarters too.

  16. Have to agree with Mike on this one. All Barbers are welcome in this thread post images if you can. We all enjoy seeing them.

I will be hanging around the "Barber Table" on Friday morning if anyone would like to stop and say hello as well. I have to make a few pick-ups. :D

I think you'll like the selection LogPotato - there are lots of F 15 - VF 20's between
    the three of us.

Years ago, when I was just a kid, there were a few grades no longer discussed and
I always wondered what ever happened to the old grade F - 18. It went the way of
    XF 48, I guess.

I'd say most VF 20's should be in F - 18 holders - as well as many AU 50's should be
    in XF 48 holders.

    Happy hunting everyone.

    I reshot this today.

I'm struck by how nice these circulated mid-grade Barbers can be. I never liked the series but all of a sudden I'm paying attention.
