Us barber nuts are few and far between, and even worse, not too many of us nuts will pay those prices.
This is AWESOME Stuff here folks! Making me Jealous! When I started looking at this thread, I thought I didn't have any Barbers. But, upon double checking, I do have an 1883 Nickel.
Robert, you don't just have a 1883 nickel, it is the 1883 w/ cents and carries a nice premium in that condition. :thumb:
Picked up a couple of upgrades yesterday and this afternoon... I have to send the other to Photobucket so I can post them here...
That is a great point. What are most of you doing to find some of these nice barbers; online auctions, B&Ms or some combination? I personally love to have the coin in hand before I buy it but I realize that really limits what I can do. Around here, there don't seem to be many places with a selection of barbers in F. Granted, the few that I do know of, I don't have a reputation with to let me just browse; they want to know what date/grade I'm looking for specifically.
Become a regular. Make small silver purchases and ask to look through their junk, once they find that you are honest, you can gain a bit of their trust.
