Justin, I came back with a "Baker's Dozen" of Barber Halves - and also contacted a friend about his duplicate collection - and I was able to pick this beauty up: PCGS 30 Holder I thought it was closer to a 35 !!
Some more of the Baker's Dozen... I don't have all of them imaged yet... 1906-S PCGS 25 1907-D PCGS 30 1907-O PCGS 30 1907-S PCGS 15 1908-S PCGS 20 1909-O PCGS 25 1909-S PCGS 25 The next coin is out a BIN/BO on eBay - 1910-P PCGS 25 I also picked up a few others from another friend - images forthcoming...
Here is something that you don't see everyday - as a matter of fact - its unique for the entire Barber Quarter series. I plan on having this professionally imaged at FUN. This was taken with my iPhone:
Need to bring the Barber thread back to the top Went to the Glendale Coin Club show yesterday in Van Nuys, CA and picked up a couple of Barber quarters which were just a little bit "different" 1898 Barber "MY VALENTINE" Quarter, has lots of detail but might have been in a bezel at one point, hard to tell: 1907-O Barber "Hobo" Quarter:
I just need 11 more to complete the Barber Dime set. Of course, since one of those is the 1894-S, I guess it'll never be completed By the way, in an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies, Mr. Drysdale showed Jed Clampett an 1894-S dime that was in a blue Whitman folder just like mine! And in real life, Jed (Buddy Ebsen) actually owned an 1894-S!
Latest additions to the Barber Half set. I'm down to the last 15 coins or so. Finding some of those in Fine condition will be a challenge.
Just a few I got in the silver bins... The quarter does have some dark color on it.. especially when tilted the right way....
I spotted that 14-S Quarter a while ago - and it didn't have the right look to get into a TPG holder. Its a very tough date and I sold two VF's in PCGS holders at the Pittsburgh ANA two weeks ago. Glad to see this Thread chugging along.
