It's a 25. I think it fits well there, but could be a 20 as well. The strong "LIBERTY" on the 1909 sometimes will give them a little extra grade. There reverse is absolutely perfect, the obverse has one or two light scratches and that small dig in the field. I really don't find them that noticeable at all. I'm really happy with this one.
The toning, especially on the reverse is just spectacular, I love the contrast between the dark grey fields, and the light grey of the eagle, with the feathers and shield on the eagle again, highlighted/contrasted by a shade of dark grey. Really a prime example of a circulated Barber Half.
I only have 1 barber dime and its 1912 and only in good shape.. had it for years.. as a carry piece..
Just picked up this 02 O Barber Half. I really like the patina on this one, it's a shame about the rim nick at 3:30 but for a few bucks over melt I couldn't resist.
My new purchases from the Philadelphia Whitman Show. I only had about an hour on the bourse floor because of some issues with the other party that was with me. With only one hour of viewing, I think I made the most of it. Picked up some nice original halves. Nothing special date wise, just some nice coins. I met John Frost from the BCCS who was very nice. I was a little upset I couldn't stay for the club meeting, but I should be able to make the Baltimore one. Anyways, here are the coins.
