Thanks for the inputs guys. I agree, it's a VG10 just shy of fine. Reverse is stronger than the obverse with some of the horizontal lines in the shield still visible. All in all I'm happy with it. These are seller's pics, I'll upload my own when the coin arrives.

Definitely like the reverse as fine... the obverse looks vg to me as well, nice coin though...

Here are 7 coins that I just picked up. I already had some of these but either liked the coins or they were being offered at $15 each, which at the time was just below melt. I have a hard time not buying them at that price (1898, 1909 and 1910).

Great pickups Yacorie. Especially at those prices. Looks like a couple of those are even pushing VF.

I think I did ok with the prices - at least I was ok with them. Perhaps I should post prices with my photos because just learning it and trying to find my way, it might be useful. I try to look at the numismedia trend prices and also the PCGS site to get a feel for what I might expect.

Thats a nice coin. I don't see many like that around these parts - at least not the shops I've been to so far.

How do you get such nice photographs with the black background? Is it some type of software that you use or what?

green18 wrote a nice tutorial on how to use Photoscape (free) to do this. Check it out here: http://www.cointalk.com/t175157/
