    I had an opportunity a few years ago to see some of these monuments in real life and up close. Romae Aeternae they say. You certainly get that feeling.

    A dupondius and a sestertius of the Columna Traiana.

    TRAJAN. 98-117 AD. Æ Dupondius. Struck circa 112-115 AD.
    Obv: Radiate and draped bust right
    Rev: Trajan's Column: column set on podium decorated with eagles, and surmounted by statue of Trajan standing left, holding patera and sceptre. RIC II -; BMCRE 995; Cohen 563.

    I donno, but using the half dozen or so that I own as examples, probably no more than $35. The one below I paid $28 shipped. Of course, none were sold in slabs which seem to have an added cost associated with it.
