Can I be somewhat tacky and display my ONLY 3 cent denomination of anything I have in any of my collections?

    And then the runners-up...

... but those are all "bygones".

This one, however, is in my present collection. It is a much less expensive coin than any of the ones above, but as you see, it still has plenty of eye appeal.

On the other end of the spectrum, here are two modest, circulated examples I bought the other day.

All Nice Coins but I favor the 1866's because its 100 years before I was Born.

Yes, you're a new member of the 3-Cent Club, now!

Here she is again, in my hasty cellphone pictures from the other day. Let me know when you get her.

I think I see evidence of die clashing on the obverse, below Liberty's hair bow. Looks like it might be the impression of one of the I's (from the Roman numeral III on the reverse die), perhaps. I don't know for sure.

Clashed dies are relatively common on this type, in any event.

I found an 1852 while detecting in Charleston S.C. 2 years ago. It was the best find of that trip. It was about a foot deep. I like to have never found it, that’s why you never give up.

    I own just a few. 1865, 1867 x2 and 1868. This is the best of the bunch. Found in a dime roll. 1867 3C Obv.jpg 1867 3C Rev.jpg

What a great looking coin. Almost as good looking as those designed by Barber.
