I collect Lincolns also but only memorials (which I am almost done with by the way).

Very nice examples folks! :smile I sent four Lincolns to Mark Goodman to image for me. Here is the first one:

    Awesome!!! Except for the grading.
It's more of a MS-66 or even consideration for a 67 to me!
The grader musta been smokin' crack when they graded that one!
I would get some other opinions from others here, and likely send back for a regrade!

    Thanks,
    Chuck

I agree if it had been graded by NGC-67 Star for sure!

Gorgeous coin. I particularly like the 1917's because they have so much more detail. As for the grade, NGC might give it a star, but I think it is graded properly. Those nicks on the shoulder keep it from going higher even though the reverse could pass for a 68 to me.

Thanks for sharing Lee. You collection one end to the other must look spectacular all laid out next to each other. I would be like a rainbow of color extravaganza! Sorry, I'll get back to my poetry lessons now.

Nice 1917 Lee....I think it was VERY conservatively graded.

I think the 1917 has a nice strike and maybe a shot at 66 but definitely not a 67.

  10. Here is a neat Lincoln I owned for a day...

Nice reverse but the obverse spots are kind of distracting. Still nice if you can make a profit off it. : )

Today I bought a couple rolls of uncirculated 1973-S and 1979 Pennies. I paid $1 for each roll, which isn't too bad, I don't guess. I also got an off-center penny a few weeks ago for free. It's pretty off-center, and doesn't have a date, so I've read that make it worth less, but I'll keep it anyway, because I find it interesting, it's the first one I've seen. Also: in the 1979 pennies, is the penny in the center missing some of the copper? It's not smooth to the touch, and has a gray color to it. These are supposedly not circulated, so what could have happened to it?

  13. Ya, that is a comon problem with Mint Set coins, one side and some cases both sides have spots, ugly toning or some other problem on them.

What do you think about this little gem I just picked up today at the Long Beach coin show?

The toning is a nice one
A big crescent almost, a nice moon :)
Just amazes me, how beautiful toned coins can really be
    Thanks for sharing :)

    Two more of my Lincolns

Here are two more of my Lincoln Cents. My newest and oldest. For my newest, I have a 2009 Log Cabin (Lincoln's House) penny. For my oldest penny, I have a 1924 Wheat penny. Enjoy. For a little fun, what do you all think these would grade? I know the '24 would be low, since it's very worn. Please let me know. Thanks!

PS: If you need better pics, let me know.

From the picture, it looks like VG coin, but, the picture is blurry, and the 2x2 is fuzzy

Your pix are a little small to tell for sure, but the 09 looks to be at least a 66 and the 24 is a G6/VG8.
