This may be the only chance I get to post in this thread with my newly acquired 1987-D Lincoln Memorial Cent NGC MS66 RB. Sweet!
I was teasing rlm because he estimated grade for that coin at 53. I was expressing shock (tongue in cheek) at that - and because I have a bad heart said I needed to take a pill due to the shock of it all. What it is related to is that rlm now has a new monitor. On his old monitor, if somebody posted a pic of an elephant, you couldn't find the elephant on the screen He answered back of course, explaining that. To which I answered back saying the Devil made me do it. Get it now ?
Gotcha GD. Funny what I've learned in short time. I believe that 1925 D was listed as a 63 or something and at the time I didn't know the wiser. I don't think I paid a lot but either way is an AU. Lehigh: now you collect green Lincolns? Interesting colors? How does a Lincoln get that kind of toning? What chemicals? Maybe Jim or Condor know?
There are some great looking Lincolns. I am trying to get one of those 09's (sans VDB). I am really looking for a red, but I think I would swap it for yours.
Oh yeah, another toning freak in the house. Welcome to cointalk Lee. Don't worry, I softened them up for ya. Most of the members are falling in love with toned coins around here. Wait till they see some of your breathtaking beauties.
Mr lee g- those are nice. I would send those in for grading. Would get high grades with that kind of toning?? Pretty good photos. ONly 3 posts and your already bustin out some nice coins.
Awesome coins Jim (out of order). I noticed your pics look kinda of pixelated (is that a word?). Do the coins look like this in hand, they look kind of like an illustration verses actual photos if that makes sense? Is this an old camera or something.
Thanks all for the kind words on my Lincolns! :thumb: Appreciate it! They are already graded by PCGS; 65BN, 66RB, and 64BN. NGC 66RB (CAC):
Guess the grades? Sent these to PCGS and very happy with results and agree with all their grades. I will post more in time. Don't want to put up too many at once:
