    This is a 22 Shillings or half lion from the reign of Queen Mary of Scotland. She was a young lass of 11 but already quite tall for a woman especially in her day. She would eventually be about 6' tall - much taller than most men of her day.

    It’s a proof bullion coin, but I think it’s one of the most beautiful in US coinage — at least for the modern era.

    Thanks. I bought that one first, then the 1914-D and the rest followed. I bought the best I could get at the time. I just couldn't afford a higher grade. It is an expensive coin. You can get a weak D for under $3000 but I wanted the strong D. A slight price difference. I'm sure you'll fill that slot one day.
