Larry, I do believe that is the most attractive toning I have seen on any walking libery half dollar. Quite a beauty!

This one is best known for its Morgan reverse.

Gorgeous toned proof coins folks! I am compelled to contribute with a toned proof of my own, from the Great White North. I don't normally bother with proof strikes, but I saw this proof set, and fell in love with the sunset orange gem toning on the 5c coin. 1982 is the first year that the Royal Canadian Mint switched from pure nickel 5-cent coins, to 75-25 percent Cu-Ni, and a lot of the 5-cent coins from the 1982 proof set tone right in their case of issue. In fact, it can be harder to find a nice untoned version sometimes.

The photo does not really do this coin justice, toning is a difficult beast to photograph.
